Objective:
         The objective of the application is to develop a system using which employees of an organization can effectively communicate with each other and exchange documents and files. The purpose is to provide a effective process of communication for information exchange and sharing of documents among employees at various branches.
Existing system:
         The present systems are ineffective in achieving the purpose of document and information sharing. The necessary documents are maintained at various branches in different formats, which makes difficult to understand and exchange them. Same documents may be stored at various branches leading to redundancy and difficulties in updating all  these multiple copies. Data inconsistencies may also arise as a consequence. Exchange of documents also results in delays depending on the current location and where it is required.
Proposed system:
         The proposed system maintains a centralized repository of information of all relevant documents, which can be accesses by all employees irrespective of their location. The system helps in proper management of data  by categorizing the documents and assigning priorities. The system also has a facility where employees can communicate with each other by conducting online conferences.
Modules:
The system is proposed to have the following modules along with the functional requirements:


Administrator module:
         The administrator is responsible for the maintenance of the entire application. Administrator can add branch and department details. Administrator can add and view details of employees. Administrator can also view the details of all branches and departments. Administrator can also generate various reports.
Employee module:
         Employee can view ones profile. Employees can add documents and view all the available documents for reference. Employees can participate in conferences to exchange valuable information and notes.

Manager module:
         Managers can view ones own profile. Managers can also add documents and maintain the documents under various categories. Managers can also conduct conferences.
