Objective:
A municipal is an administrative entity composed of a clearly defined territory and its population and commonly denotes a city, town, or village, or a small grouping of them. A municipality is typically governed by a mayor and a city council or municipal council. The notion of municipality includes townships but is not restricted to them. A municipality is a general-purpose district, as opposed to a special-purpose district.
Existing System:
It’s a limited system and fewer users friendly. Searching of particular information is very critical it takes lot of time. The system doesn’t have the facility of 24 X 7.The existing system calculating advertisement tax is really a tough job. There is no possible way to maintain the assets; inventory means purchase/Acquisition of Assets, calculating depreciation etc. in this system. Maintaining the Birth and Death records are a tedious job in the existing system. Grievance handling and status reporting to citizen is not    possible.      
 Proposed System:
          The development of this new system contains the following activities, which try to automate the entire process keeping in the view of database integration approach. User Friendliness is provided in the application with various controls provided by system Rich User Interface. It can be accessed over the Internet. The user information files can be stored in centralized database which can be maintained by the system. This can give the good security for user information because data is not in client machine. Authentication is provided for this application only registered members can access. Report generation features is provided using crystal reports to generate different kind of reports.

Module Description:
 Administrator
Administrator is a super user treated as owner of this site.  Administration can keep track the following tasks: Advertisement Tax, Asset and Inventory System, Birth & Death Registration
Municipal Officers
          The working employee on a municipality is called as municipality officers.  They perform various activities like: Advertisement Tax, Asset and Inventory, Birth & Death Registration etc.
Citizens (General Public)
          Citizens also have to participate in this system.  They can pay advertisement tax by the help of this system.  If a citizen needs birth and death registration certificates they can send a request through this system.
Web Registration
          The system has a process of registration.  Every citizen need to submit his complete details in the form of registration. 
Reports
Different kind of reports is generated by the system.
Different types of reports .like municipality’s details, corporation details, panchayath details

Authentication
It’s a process of only registered users logging onto the system. Unauthorized users cannot have access tot the system.
